<p>The Chinese say that, "<a href="http://www.chinalawblog.com/chinalawblog/2006/04/negotiating_in_.html">A man without a smile should not open a shop</a>." The recent growth rate of the economy should put a smile on the face of all small business owners.</p>

<p>The Gross Domestic Product of the USA is showing outstanding numbers with an annual growth rate of 4.8%.</p>

<p>The benchmark number to remember is 3%. Whenever the economy grows faster than 3% -- faster than the population growth -- then we have an expanding economy.</p>

<p>4.8% is a very good number.</p>

<p>This high grow statistic means that your customers have more money to spend on your products and your services.</p>

<p>Victoria Thieberger, from Reuters, notes in <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/03/AR2006050301064.html">Data show economy firing on all cylinders</a> that,</p>

<blockquote>Activity in both the vast U.S. services sector and at factories accelerated more than expected, according to data on Wednesday that pointed to fresh economic vigor...</blockquote>

<p>A vigorous GDP. The demand for your small business should grow as the economy grows.</p>
